Cranial release technique (CRT) was developed by Dr. William Doreste, a chiropractor based in America. Both Murad and Fatima trained directly with Dr. Doreste in the USA. They were the very first UK based practitioners to offer this technique in the United Kingdom.
CRT can have a great effect on overall health and wellbeing. The protocol feels like a simple neck stretch and its aim is to counteract the effect of stress by releasing tension from all the tissues and structures throughout the entire body.
Murad offers CRT in combination with acupuncture when he feels it would be a good compliment to Chinese medicine. Many patients find that CRT is an important part of their treatments and we, as practitioners, appreciate it as a very valuable and useful discipline that benefits our patients.

What to expect:
- CRT only takes one or two minutes to perform.
- The patient typically lays flat on their back on the treatment couch (this technique can be done in a sitting position too).
- The practitioner slowly and carefully moves the head and neck in a very specific way. To the patient, this would feel like a neck stretch.
- There are some test that can be done before and after CRT to show what the effects are, but the patient usually feels an improved sense of wellbeing immediately afterwards.
